Default Blackhawk, CO roll call, 11/4

Myself and some buddies of mine are going up this Saturday. We plan on playing in the $24 Gilpin noon tourny and some cash games before and after. What time should we get to the Gilpin to sign up and who else is going to be in Blackhawk?

Give me a 'sup bro' if you see me, I'll be in a Colorado State Sweatshirt and a blue hat with an A on it.

I'd get there at least an hour early to get a seat - 40 players max for the noon $24 tourney.

Just curious on the size of the room and stakes they play there?

Damn, I'd like to come up and goof around a bit, but the wife already has plans for Saturday, so no-go this weekend. Hopefully next time!

I'd love to, but I'm already heading up to Blackhawk on Friday night. I am definitely interested in trying out the $24 tourney one of these Saturdays in November.

They have 16 tables. Pretty spacious. The other perk is that the poker room is on its own floor (read: no noisy slot machines in sight). They have $2/4 limit, $2-5 spread limit, $1-2-5-5 limit, Omaha, and Stud. Colorado law stipulates $5 max bet.

I'll be over at the Colorado Central Station. Best action, biggest donks...not much action at Gilpin. Tourneys are ok, but become all-in fests quite quickly.

I've been at the Station the last two nights, up $300, I'm going back 'til the well dries up!

I was watching some of the $3-5 action before tonight's tournament. Holy crap. Talk about insane. I felt like I was at The Lodge.

I played at the Station last night and did pretty well. I was fortunate to put down a few bad beats, but then again I was probably playing about 1/4 as many hands as most of the other players. Way more smoky than Gilpin, but probably a softer game.
