More and more I'm beginning to think some posts are more likely to be considered acceptable if the creater and subject of the thread are in the 'in crowd'

For example, if it wasn't Ray Zee who created a thread about Diablo et al which could have been a PM, I think it would have been locked/deleted/critized

Nah, Zee's thread wouldn't get locked because it could have contributed a lot. If they all chimed in with hands they played and how their time went that night it could be interesting indead. J. A.'s post is more than enough to make Zee's OP worthwhile.

btw I'm not saying this should or should not be the case, I am just trying to make a correct observation than may be usefull to others.

I usually enjoy reading these kind of posts.
