Bizzare situation, what would the ruling be?
This happened a month ago or so at Wynn, I let it slide but it has been haunting me since.
Wynn, 15/30 game. Someone notices a bent edge on a card, dealer requests new setup. New setup arrives next hand. Dealer spreads the first deck, puts it into shuffler but does it heads up by mistake. Notices the mistake, spreads second deck and starts shuffling manually. Shuffler finishes the face up deck, dealer turns it around to shuffle again and starts dealing with manually shuffled deck. I'm in the big blind, button openraises, i call. Dealer deals the flop: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I check and fold, but I've been wondering ever since if I should've called the floor and complain about insufficient randomisation.

[/ QUOTE ] If it is random 3 to a straight flush has to flop sometimes. That being said one of the problems with machines is that come dealers never learn to shuffle.

[/ QUOTE ] I understand that these flops happen randomly, but it felt really weird that it would happen randomly right after the manual shuffle of a new deck.

Shuffling does not produce randamization, it hopefully produces non-predicatbility. If the cards were in fact shuffled and this flop came out such was not predicable and I don't see what your objection here was.

LoL you really want a ruling on this? The ruling is that there is no ruling. The cards were shuffled face down, that's it. If a machine is still shuffling when the blinds chop and the dealer hand shuffles...is it a missdeal if AAA hits the board? Nope.

[/ QUOTE ] Damn right i want a ruling, dealer gives a brand new deck a few shuffles, deals them out, then deals a flop of three cards in the same order as they were in the deck before shuffling. Oh geezus, stop your complaining. No floor on earth would rule on this situation as it is not even a situation. It's exactly the same thing as I just described above. There is always a 1 in something chance of an event happening in poker, you just happened to witness the 1. If you really thought something shady was going on at the Wynn, you should have contacted gaming comission immediately, not cry on here about a flop that will happen once in awhile no matter who or what shuffles them. You know how many hands a day I see that come out KKK or JJJ on a flop. I've dealt 3 or 4 straight and royal flushes the same way, whether it was hand shuffled or machined. So please don't come on here and try to say that someone did something to the cards after you yourself watched them shuffle and cut, and a cut card was put on the button, which prevents bottom dealing.

You see, on this flop because I have a strong suspicion that deck have been shuffled very badly I can predict the turn card with a fair degree of accuracy . That's not the way to play poker. Please don't respond to my thread anymore. I understood you perfectly well the first time.
