[ QUOTE ]
my friends and i had an interesting observation about Colorado motorvehicles from our trip last week to Breckenridge/Vail:

It seems as though there were scores of vehicles going 80+ through the mountains, but couldn't go the speed limit back at flatland--kind of odd

[/ QUOTE ]
This is an interesting and rather annoying phenomenon.

#5 If you are doing the speed limit, don't pull over. Road debris/ soft shoulders can put you in peril.

#6 Do not let your brakes overheat. Don't ride your brakes hard, you lower gear on downgrade.

#7 Check your brakes ahead of time, know if there is a emergency pull off ahead.

#8 Pack a blanket in your car, not your trunk.

In Alaska if five or more vehicles are behind you, you are required to pull over to let them by.

The 'douchebag tourists in motor homes' law.
