What hands do you but the villain on here after his turn check. And what is your action? I'm kinda new to the $33 tournaments so abit unsure of likely hand ranges still.

At the $33 level, I see his range being massive. And the only hands I see his line being well-played with are JJ and J5. Calling your flop bet with a flush-draw is bad and calling with trip 5s is bad - but that doesn't mean he doesn't hold them! Him checking down an under pair or pair between 55-JJ wouldn't surprise me either.

He could have anything, and you're ahead of most of it. Bet another 140 since you got this far.

But I fold pre-flop.

I would check in this spot and then decide on the river what to do. People love to check into action when they have a set, so see one more card, don't build the pot too big so you need to call a lot of chips on the river.. Just check... On the river, you can decide whether to call a bet or not, or if he checks the river, I would bet (although a really good player might check the river with a set too).

Actually, I changed my mind.. I would check the river too because he would fold if he doesn't have much and reraise a set... So, just check it down in my opinion

I'd figure him for:
- Trip 5's w/ a bad kicker
- Jx, where x<9
- Medium flush draw

There's also the remote possibility he's backed into a full house with J5. There's 460 in the pot and you've got around 550 left... I'd bet 150-200.

Following that logic, you should never bet the river if you don't have the best possible hand.....

I would put villain on a flush draw, and bet 200 on the turn to charge him for it. I also don't think checking is horrible, as long as you are willing to call bluffs on blank rivers.

I agree with Pineapple here. I'd guess in general, villain would have 5x, KJ, QJ, flush draw.

Generally another bet out here will get a fold. I dump this if reraised, if called, check behind on the river...not sure how much I'd call if bet into.

I started messing around with limping AJ PF from EP. I'm still up in the air about it though. If played cautiously it can be profitable. Right now I only do it when I'm either really confident or on tilt. I guess maybe I shouldn't do it then.

I wouldn't play AJ here, really. Just so very hard to do so well OOP on most flops, I mean, this is about the best one you could hope for with it, and you're still lost as to what to do on the turn.

I would be too.
