Is this oversold? dropped 66% in price.. i think enough is enough... i doubt eps and future eps will drop 66% because of the party poker split. Thoughts?

If you guys played poker like you analyzed stocks, you'd all be losing at $2-$4.

Come on, Ed, I doubt it will drop 66% too. 99% is a better number.

the day i posted the stock was worth $83, now they're paying $108.5, up almost 33% So when do you expect it to go down 99%?

I had a feeling that red was coming, and you told me that roulette was dumb so I didn't bet, and then it came red. Why didn't I follow my instincts?

Here's the point: Your opinion was based on your "guts" about where the stock would or wouldn't go. You hadn't done any math or research (at least posted on this thread) to estimate what the company was actually WORTH. You just thought it was "about time" to turn around. Over the longterm, following those instincts will leave you broke in the stock market as surely as they will at the roulette table.

At that point, buying EOL because you think it'll go up is no different from buying a Beanie Baby for the same reason. And yes, ultimately Beanie Babies lost 90%+ of their value.

Do you think Empire is a company with a good longterm story? What do you think their earnings will be this year, next year, in five years, etc.? What are the risks involved? What could go wrong that would alter your predictions drastically? Until you at least try to answer those questions, you can't begin to determine whether EOL is "oversold" or not. Were Beanie Babies "oversold" when the prices dropped from $500 to $150?

*we Random Walkers call that "speculating"

I would touch Empire with a very small, almost toothpick-sized pole. Glad (for now) I bought Party at its low in my own bout of speculation. Let's see if they suck out on me.
