At the time, my plan was to check-raise the river all-in, but his bet effectively put him all-in. To him, it must have seemed as though I was on the flush draw, but he pushed anyways. Most likely the superior line is to lead the river. Thoughts?

Thanks

The 1.00 flop bet into a 14.00 pot practically screams "I've got a flush draw". IMO your best chance was to:

1) Check-raise the flop after the extremely weak betting

2) Lead strongly on the turn for 15.00

3) Check-raise the villain all-in on the turn

My money says you're clearly beaten on the river; I wouldn't bother putting anymore money in the pot.

I'm not sure why you didn't bet or check-raise the turn. I think check-calling is pretty weak here, nothing suggests he has a jack or better.

I would have made a pretty good size move on the turn. Why didn't you?
