Default Mod-users , warning!

From my crystal ball... A mod will be circulated on net that lets mod-maker see your hole cards.

Agree?

You don't have the faintest idea how image files work, do you?

Explain the image file thing. Of course I know that poker site client never sends hole card info about other players cards. But say I installed a mod, and it captured my hole card info, and send this info as well as where I was playing to the mod-maker. He could join my game.

The mods are nothing but replacement image files for the ones on your local computer. So there is exactly 0 chance of the scenario you describe.

Yes, I have heard about this and it's absolutely true.

Mod-Maker infiltrates your Jpeg files by hiding an eye inside of them. The eye, a foreground layer is held at 0% opacity, so it remains transparent, or invisible. However, the eye is certainly there and it sees all of our hole cards, unless it is currently blinking.

Take a look at this screenshot. Looks normal right?

I took this image and decided to take a closer look at it in Photoshop. I changed the foreground opacity layer from 0% to 100%, and look at what I found!

Be very careful when using pokermods, other people are cheating out there and you don't want to put yourself at risk like I did. No wonder I'm currently on a -938BB downswing. It's all this mod's fault.

As a voice of reason...

Just make sure you don't accept "mods" that come as self-extractable files. And keep that firewall up.

( a self-extractable could easily carry files that are not part of the actual mod, and if you don't look close you might not notice what is being installed )
