Re: I just can\'t fold a big pot to one bet (hi-low)
I guess I can't argue with the numbers, but the times it really hurts is when the one peron makes their crap low on sixth and someone else hits a high hand and you get trapped for 3-4 BB

Hard to argue with that.

Third is fine. Fourth is probably a call, but only because the pot is bloated. Fifth is a fold. Seventh is a raise even if everyone has a million dollars in front of them.

Re: I just can\'t fold a big pot to one bet (hi-low)
What hands are you giving your opponents? This sim (opponents w/ strong hands) sets your equity at 6.5%. Other than experiencing the trill of hitting a runner runner win, I think you should pass here.

Re: I just can\'t fold a big pot to one bet (hi-low)
I gave everyone what they were known to have (seat1&7: trip aces & straight draw) or what they probably had:
seat 3: 4 to a 6low, one of which was a 3 seat 8: 2 non-spade low cards http://twodimes.net/h/?z=1250630 pokenum -mc 500000 -7s8 8c kc jc 9s 4c - 5h 3h 2h 6d td - 2d 5s as qd js - ac 9d ad ah 3c - 7c 2c 3s ks ts / 9h qc 7s 7-card Stud Hi/Low 8-or-better: 500000 sampled outcomes cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV 9s Kc Jc 8c 4c 32249 121245 378755 0 0 0 0 0.153 Td 6d 5h 3h 2h 67943 75687 424313 0 242037 38549 1468 0.324 As Js 5s Qd 2d 9786 19295 480705 0 73700 28266 0 0.098 Ac 3c Ad 9d Ah 94415 273043 226957 0 0 0 0 0.367 Ks Ts 3s 7c 2c 4126 10730 489270 0 43228 36504 1468 0.057 which puts me at .098 pot equity. though its hard to imagine that seat 3 will jam 3rd with a three low but not raise 4th with 4 cards to a 6low despite everyone else bricking, which leads me to believe he may have started with a big burried pair and wanted to see if the A really had aces. Note that I have the 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] so he couldn't have started with a 3flush with a 6 in it. Any unsuited low hand with both a 2 and a 6 will not give that much action on 3rd, and a hand like 234 that jams 3rd is definetly jamming fourth too. Thus having KK in the hole is very likely, and will cause my equity to shoot up further to .139. Now it's almost criminal for me to fold 5th for one bet! http://twodimes.net/h/?z=1250637 pokenum -mc 500000 -7s8 8c kc jc 9s 4c - kh kd 2h 6d td - 2d 5s as qd js - ac 9d ad ah 3c - 7c 2c 3s ks ts / 9h qc 7s 7-card Stud Hi/Low 8-or-better: 500000 sampled outcomes cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV 9s Kc Jc 8c 4c 62746 105672 394325 3 0 0 0 0.168 Kd Td 6d Kh 2h 11586 18689 481299 12 0 0 0 0.030 As Js 5s Qd 2d 15058 16910 483090 0 115020 6514 0 0.139 Ac 3c Ad 9d Ah 216542 349360 150640 0 0 0 0 0.566 Ks Ts 3s 7c 2c 7272 9357 490634 9 82061 15774 0 0.097 |
