Well, my intent was to discuss what to do, not to post about a bad beat. I wanted a discussion on when would one put villian on a set?

Realistically you can't get away from this hand. He check called the flop which could mean a pair, a draw, overcards, and you've committed yourself to the pot, sure a set is in his range but so are a bunch of other things, so it's a good line, bad result, such is life.
