Default Re: I Was Gambling in Havana....when the wind came up

Warren Zevon's last "album" The Wind is excellent. So all you Zevon fans should pick one up. I recommend it highly. He finished it just a few months before he slipped into the void.

Default CD/Song Line

Check out one of his greatest hits collections like "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead". It's a 2-disc set that would give you a good start.

One of my favorite lines:

"If California slides into the ocean
Like the mystics and statistics say it will
I predict this motel will be standing
Until I pay my bill"

Default Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner

Roland searched the continent for the man who'd done him in
He found him in Mombassa in a barroom drinking gin
Roland aimed his Thompson gun - he didn't say a word
But he blew Van Owen's body from there to Johannesburg
