Its a great game with lots of loose players. I raised with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG and was three bet by a player nicknamed "The Rock" because he was so solid. Called behing in 1 place and the blinds came along as well, and i called.

FLOP: A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Blinds check, I.....?

... bet then raise my eyebrows and glare at Rocky hoping to tell if he's happy to be bet into or mad at being outflopped.

Betting this ace makes no sense. Everyone without an ace or a 6 or a club draw will fold and your chance to win at showdown hasn't increased. If you bet and get called you are likely behind. If you check and the 3-better bets out the pot is large enough that the instances he will bet out again with kk, qq and jj (and your kicker may beat the blinds) and the instances where he has ak and it will be a split, justifies a call.

I check, PFR bets (From his mannerisms it looks like he doesn't like the Ace) folded to the button who thinks and reluctantly raises and sits back in his chair, SB cold calls, I...?

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "Unless these players axpress their true emotions". And I was confident in my read that the pre-flop raiser did not have an ace (95%).

The way the action is back to you, 3-bet. Then play the hand from there based on the action. You can't possibly fold here, not yet.

The only purpose 3 betting serves here is to knock out the PFR (The Rock). Do I really want to do that when he is probably drawing to 2 outs?

Edit: He can probably call profitablly for his 2 outer is I dont three bet, hm.....

Players that acts like thay didn't like the flop and still raises will often have a good hand (I'm no expert since I don't play at casinos).

If this is true folding is not an option. I would probably 3-bet.

bet!why?you are hoping that the 3 bettor raises to protect his hand by driving out the hands that have a weak draw containg a single club weather its an 8 of clubs or a king of clubs.if u dont bet out and the rock bets now a player with pocket 10s with the 10 of clubs may call .remember if a raise changes the winning percentage of ur hand by as little as 2 or 3% its a good raise.
