AK party NL $100 6max
It was still the first time around the 6 handed table and I was multi-tabling so I didn't really have any reads. This hand happened when I was BB. I had $100 and villian had $113

Also-I probably should've gone to 5 or 6 preflop, but that's not really the issue |

Re: AK party NL $100 6max
like you said, bump it up to 5 or 6 with those limpers.
this is a [censored] spot. with no reads and facing a limp rr pf it could spell QQ-AA. if i was actually in the hand i would consider calling, but just reading it here i wouldnt want to be OOP without a pair facing this aggression against an unknown. |

Re: AK party NL $100 6max
I probably should've folded, but you all know how much easier that is now than later. Anyway...
I announced check in the dark to myself, flop came Td, 2s, Ac, villian bet 40 Hero has 80.50 after the preflop call, villian has him covered. Hero-? |

Re: AK party NL $100 6max
pretty much the best flop you can ask for.
normally people would limp rr with a high PP, and you beat all except for TT and AA.. chances of AA are less now that youve got one and the other is on the board. probably looking at JJ-KK here? |

Re: AK party NL $100 6max
If you call pre-flop, you can't fold this flop.
Given that, which is more likely to get the stacks in - call now and push when he slows down, or just push now? I probably call then push the rest if he doesn't bet it for me - this should widen the range that gets the money in the middle. |

Re: AK party NL $100 6max
Yea its not folding, It's how to get his stack. I realize now that I really botched this hand. I made the -EV call preflop, then lost out on value check-pushing the flop when he laid down what he said was KK.
Thanks for the advice, def not making that mistake again -Alex |
