Default Another bad beat

Was playing at Pacific Poker in a sit and go.

I had Q-K and the flop was 2-9-10. Everyone checked.

Turn was a Queen. Everyone checked to me and I called. Had one other caller.

River was another Queen to make a board of 2-9-10-Q-Q and give me trip queens. I was escatic and went all in.

What did the other guy have? 10-10

At first I was confused as to how I was beaten. When I realised I had a full house then turned to dumbfounded.

I thought I had the nuts although anyone with 2-2, 9-9, 10-10, 8-J or J-K was going to beat me.

But still.........

Going to keep trying at Pacific Poker. You won't believe this but I have had some success there. Just haven't posted it.

Hopefully will have a good beat story of my own to post soon

first of all, thankyou for playing at pacific sit and goes, i have probably come up against you at some point in the micros, so thankyou for buying me metal gear solid 3.

second of all, it's a IS impossible for trips to be the nuts, as if you have trips, the board has paired, making at least quads the nuts.

third of all, this ISNT a bad beat, you had the worst hand, nothing you can do but take it and learn.

if you come across me then say hi. (blaze666) and you are going to improve, and look back on this post and say wtf mait, what was i talking about?

Yeah. I have a funny story too.

I had 88 on the button.

UTG limped, MP limped, I raised, both called.

Flop 998. UTG bets, MP calls, I call

Turn 4. UTG bets, MP calls, I raise, UTG calls

River 8. Checked to me and I bet, UTG raises, I 3bet, UTG caps.

He then flipped over 93o (which he limped UTG) and flipped out. He called it the worst beat ever. For the next 10 minutes he kept saying "nice hand douchebag zeus" and "good play idiot." I got a good kick out of it.
