Wow, shocking they were driven to tell the truth - my guess is they were losing legitimate play and suffered cashouts from the ambiguous "security risk" nonsense.

Now the question is which of the other skins follow suit?

Something tells me that email is not legitimate. It's not very well written, the guy posting it has 6 posts, and I truly think somebody like Microbob would have gotten a real reply first, if anybody over there even has the PR authority to send out a letter like that.

I'm not 100% convinced, but see here for the same email at the end of a string of emails.
