The last of 3 shuttles breaks down Monday night and strands about 100 people overnight and then with the upcoming dry docking of the Ocean Jewel on Oct 15 for routine maintenence the company decides to lay off all the employees as of Oct 16.

"If the company doesn't have enough money to complete the drydock, the jobs will be lost, he said. "If we make our numbers between now and then, we'll be fine."
