Cheating with a "shinner"

Cheating is a big issue in any card games (at least I think so) and it should not be ignored or categorized as a non issue, which is one of the reasons I maintain that site.

Just out of curiosity, Zele. Since you say that you are opposed to cheating. I was wondering if you’ve ever knowingly done anything in a game that could be categorized as cheating? Even if it was unintentional cheating. You see, I am of the opinion that at one time or another more than 50% of card players resort to some kind of cheating. Even if it is not premeditated.

The Russian Roulette game on my site is actually remotely hosted by another site that hosts different games. There is a link on my page to their site in case you wish to check out what else they have. However, they do not have any gambling games, or card games.

You raise an important point here. I think you're right that the majority of even recreational card players, indeed all players of all sorts of games, have cheated in some capacity at some point.

I honestly can't remember I time I acted in a way I would call "cheating" at poker, or any card game I've played for money. However, I acknowledge there is a thin line between "advantage play" and "cheating." Have I used information inadvertently supplied to me by a card flasher? - yes. If the card flasher is a casino employee, I will exploit this information to the fullest (if a civilian, I'll probably correct his mistake sometime after the hand in question.)

I'll come clean on one thing - I did cheat once at Fantasy Hockey, and almost got fired for it. Double the shame there - the cheating and the being an idiot about it.
