My first deposit was for $100 on Ultimate Bet. I liked that you could just send them a cashiers check instead of setting up Neteller - hey I was new. I played their microlimit hold em tables until I lost my $100 which I think was in about two weeks. I then made another deposit and played some more microlimits. Then I educated myself some more and funded Neteller and started playing for some small bonuses here and there. This was three years ago now I guess. I'm not one of the people who play for a living, but I have greatly reduced my hours and responsibilities where I work this year due to poker and the extra income it provides. I am single with no dependents though and the place where I live is already paid for, so I am in an excellent situation to try and be one of those playing for a living people if I decide to take a shot one day.

I won $25 and $40 from Planet Poker freerolls and played with those and planet points for some time. After going broke I had to make my first deposit which was $25.

$50 about a year ago. Got lucky with my 80BB (inc. bonus) shot at party 0.5/1. Never re-depositied. Don't play professionally, but could do, and have a healthy mid-stakes roll now.

$200 into PokerRoom. Caught a heater, and the rest is history.

$20 on pokerroom. I started on a huge heater at 25NL and ran it up to 300. When I dropped back down to 100 I found 2+2. I've never made another deposit.

heh. the memories, two years ago i deposited $100 into Bugsy's club. i knew nothing (i was naive enough to pay neteller's instacash fees) and went on to make abour 4 or 5 more $100 deposits before i was broke and quit for a year. a year later i deposited $100 into stars and haven't looked back since.
