The Bike
I've got a question from watching that "Live at the Bike" for a little bit. I've only played live in AC and LV, so I admit my BM experience is limited.
It looks like the dealers at the Bike are putting their tips in the tray and drop the rake in a slot on the table. Also, they bring the chip tray with them. What's the deal? Do they bring their own rack to take care of change/etc and chip runners do the rest? Or, is my impression all wrong? Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm just wondering....thanks. |

Re: The Bike
Having dealers carry around their own trays makes the game go much faster. Dealers are responsible for whatever is in their tray, and thus don't have to spend precious seconds counting down the tray every time they change tables.

Having dealers carry around their own trays makes the game go much faster [/ QUOTE ] It also make the game vulnerable to the dealer stealing money from the pot. The correct way for the incomeing dealer to count the box it to get a good estimate looking over the outgoing dealer's shoulder. WHen the new delaer sits down they should deal the cards and count the bank as time permits. I have seen many dealers in mnay locations count the bank to the last quarter without dealing the cards; this is an incorrect procedure. Randy Refeld |
