Default Big Pot - AA

Haven't seen SB out of line. What to do on this flop? I'm sure I'm ahead right now. Is this a "wait for the turn" situation, especially considering the player behind me?

I'm looking to cap this flop. The only sane preflop hand that has you way behind is 99, and I wouldn't give anyone credit for that so soon.

If he leads on a non-blank turn, then calling down becomes a better option, but that's more general than anything.

raise the flop for value and protection. you can fold gutshots and PP's.. both of which can call if you don't raise (nice implied odds for the PP).

anything else (fd, oesd) won't fold until the river.

if SB 3-bets.. consider a smooth-call and turn raise. you won't get much more action out of his overpair than that unless he gets married to KK.

Raise on Monday, Raise on Tuesday...and well...you get the point. It's far..far too early to assume your behind.

I didn't assume I was behind as much as I knew I wouldn't fold the guy behind me if he had an OESD or a FD. Got to worry about the gutshots though.

I like the "smooth call a flop 3-bet and raise the turn" line a lot. I guess since I had the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I could also have a redraw against a made flush on the turn.

In the hand, I called and the player behind me folded. Turn was a non-club Q and I raised. He check-called a blank on the river and showed me JJ.

Thanks everyone for all the comments.
