Default rakes and payouts

does anyone have any suggestions on how much rake you should be willing to pay in relation to the buyin and payouts? right now the sit n gos i play in are 5.00 + .50. does that seem like a disproportionately high rake? i cant remember what the payouts are but its something like 21, 16 and 9 for 1,2,3.

Default Re: rakes and payouts

For $50 and below, the rake/fee is usually 10%. Anything higher than that should be avoided unless the game is super-easy.

Standard payout is 50%, 30%,20% of total pool. On a $5 that translates to $25, $15 and $10 ( 10 handed ), or $22.50, $13.50 and $9 ( 9 handed ).
