Plan for near future is to add a 3rd 21" CRT monitor (all 3 will be CRT's) for another $100, bringing the total to a whopping $370 invested in a 3 monitor (1600x1200 res each) set-up.

As an added bonus, you won't need a heater in the winter.

Actually the heat is not that bad. At $100 a pop they are disposable monitors if/when LCD's come down in price and offer a high enough res on a 21"+ screen. I bought my father a nice 19" LCD monitor last year for $800, screen is too small, res doesnt go high enough and the picture on all LCD's is grainy to my eyes. Love my CRT's though.

My 21" CRT just burned out on me. Paid $75 for it from my fathers company who were replacing all of them with LCD. It hurts my eyes going back to the 17", but now I cant find a cheap CRT. Is the $100 price a thing you got or something others can take advantage of?

Also I must be a women in disguise becuase I see a multiple monitor setup and I think its silly. 3+ monitors and I think the person is completely insane uber geek!

Default Three monitors?

I am curious as to how you guys have a 3 monitor setup. I was browsing video cards and all of them only have two video outputs. Someone fill me in.

Two dual-head video cards gives you 3 or 4 monitors. After that, its a configuration thing with windows.

There are cards with as many as 10 outputs. However Matrox has some good quad cards for decent prices.
