I doubt you'll be able to play a full year from today at 5/10 without going back to 15/30. Thats no bad thing either, as its not good to stagnate at one limit.

Interesting comments about about games being tight at times. A lot of people make it sound like these games are just "so easy" that you can play like a robot. That's why I think playing 8 tables will reduce your EV overall due to the errors you will make to keep out with all the tables.

I don't how many hours a week do you play but there is an adjustment period going from a regular 8-5 job to full time player. I will suggest increase your playing while you still have a job and get a feel of sitting in front of a PC and grinding a living by playing poker. You made a comment that you love your job and therefore it could be a shock switching to something so different as playing poker for a living.

Good luck

Strangely enough, my job isn't very different than playing poker because I buy and sell futures contracts all day long by clicking on a screen. It's just as frustrating at times, if not more. I know what it feels like to grind it out at the computer day to day, week to week, so if anyone is ready to make the jump to full-time, it's me.

...losses can really get to me emotionally.

I'm a futures trader right now and I love my job...

C'mon, no one else thinks that's funny?

I was under the impression that he's trading for a company, not for his own account.

Also, agreeing with MicroBob, this would probably get better responses in the Texas Hold'em (general) forum.

Right, so he loves risking other people's money but hates risking his own.

newbie question.. you can legally be logged into both empire and party.. and play 4 tables each?

what if you made a mistake and by accident ended up playing twice at the same table?

You can play both "legally" (its registering the seond account that is somewhat difficult but not prohibtive by any means, although it is loosely inteded to be prohibitive) and the software won't let you sit at the same table (because of the same IP address associated with skin's acocunt)
