Lets see, 3 WPT final tables ( Reno, Borgata, Championship evnt ), a WSOP braclete, and a few final tables in the WSOP circuit events. Also, the fact that he is having a nice run in the ME right now. Thats a pretty damn amazing year, and if he makes the final table in the ME, then he should be hands down player of the year.

i think its scary just how good this guy is. I mean with most players that are good.. you can say you think they'll do pretty good but alot of the time things dont work out that way. With phil ivey it just seems he constantly does good. Not every tournament obviously because its poker, theres luck, but jesus this guy is good. I mean what other player would do this well and people would say "well yeah im not surprised". He's actually one player that I feel is worthy of all the props he gets.

haha who will win the ME? well, ivey is definitley in contention, seeing that he is 2nd in chip (according to pokerwire.com).

and ya ivey is plain sick. Dunno if anybody saw the reno event when he was in a hand against this korean guy. The guy had AJ and Ivey had some crap hand. The guy with AJ raised preflop and bet on the flop. Ivey check-called the flop and then check raised all in on the turn with a str8 draw. Absolutley sick....
