Default 4-8 game-profitable with $4 rake?

Can you actually make money in a 3-6 or 4-8 game that has a $4 rake (+$1 tip). The games I'm talking about are the Trop 4-8 and the Bellagio 4-8, or even the Borgata/Mirage 3-6 games. Is this possible or do you have to move up to the 5-10 (Taj), 6-12(Orleans, Mirage), or 7.5-15(Trop). I've played for about 5 years now at the 3-6, 4-8 level and It costs me about $1 an hour to play these games, and yes I've kept good honest records. This sample is only about 100 hours a year.
Thanks,
H/O

Yes... a strong player can easily beat these games.

When I play 4-8 these days, I crush it for about two big bets and hour.

I find that although the rake is a higher percentage of the stakes, the % of bad players at this level more than makes up for it. Just find a table that has players who don't know much. You won't have to look far. But if you find you're at a table with better players, move. Then you're wasting time.
