Yes fold, if he is decent, as you say he is. A decent players does not play A K like that.

KQ diamonds did not cross my mind, damned sleep deprivation.

Anyway, your call wasn't bad at all. With all that dead $ in the pot it was +EV.

You really think so? AK was my first thought, and I think that it is exactly how I would play it a lot of the time.

Preflop: Certainly, with one limper to me in the cutoff, I am going to raise my AK. I would have raised more than the villain did, but I certainly don't see his raise excluding AK from his hands. I also might raise with 98s, as warlockid suggests, but I also might limp with that after a limper, where I never would limp with AK. Then, when hero in the BB raises, I would likely just call. In fact, with the 98s, I would seriously consider folding. (It would depend on how aggressive hero is.)

Flop: If villain has AK, he just flopped TPTK. Are you expecting him to lay it down here? He made a little less than pot-sized reraise, which smells a lot like TPTK to me. How would you have played AK in villain's shoes?

right the call in this case was +ev but in general i think i'm beat. but i don't know really and thats why i posted it. in the 100 game i make this call all day long and i'm happy with it. in the 200, players are way tighter post flop in my experience. it seems very obvious what i have here, no?

I'm convinced. I think I'm changing my vote to an all in.

Its close. I think I'd call holding the ace of diamonds and fold without it. I'm more concerned with the size of your preflop reraise. Its only $10 more to CO and SB so you're giving them good implied odds to come along and hit something to stack you. You're out of position and have defined your hand to a pretty narrow range-- make them pay for that information.

I like the first part of your post but the second part is fairly arbitrary. Why not top pair with several kickers, a set, nut draw? He can do this with so many hands it's silly to try and pigeon hole it like you've done.
