Default nothing unusual...?

new to NL.. just checking...

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) converter

BB ($58.15)
UTG ($56.15)
MP ($112.40)
Hero ($55.80)
SB ($34.60)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero calls $0.50, <font color="#CC3333">SB (poster) raises to $1.75</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG folds, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $3.50

Use the 5/10 rule with small PP:s in position. If you are not familiar with the term, it should be easy to find in the search engine. Otherwise, it is discussed in NLPLP by Reuben and Ciaffone.

That's a very routine call. Playing a small pair for set value in position for only 3.5 BB is +EV when the effective stack sizes are 70 BB.
