Default KK 3rd-hand in Stars 2-table Turbo

$6.50 2-table turbo at Stars.

(If you don't know, turbos have 5-minute rounds, 9-handed tables, 4 ITM.)

Third hand, no reads, 10/20, everyone @ T1500.

Six limpers to me in BB w/ KK.

My thinking: You have to accumulate some chips at the turbos, I definitely have the best hand, and I might get a loose call, hopefully from one player.

I push and the button calls.

Too aggressive? The right play? Results to come.

What did you do? I am guessing you pushed.

It's a huge overbet that some people might misread for a steal, which will get a caller from a bad ace at these levels often enough to be profitable. At a higher level of play I would have raised pot sized.

Your results are irrelevant though.

I have been extremely successful with this move in the $6.5 Turbos.

Thanks for the response Party - you have some great posts.

He had 33 and hit a set on the flop to beat my KK. I'm on a bad streak and am getting beat in these situations time and time again.

After awhile it's hard to know what the right play is.

are you not sure it was the right play because he ended up winning the hand? because if so, that's not very good thinking. keep in mind you win that 80% of the time...

Yeah, I just need some reassurance. This has happened to me so many times lately that I'm wondering about all-in moves. I've been good about taking a beat and knowing I've made the right play, but this latest run is pretty rough.

Remember, in the long run, everyone gets the same cards... Its what you do with them that differentiates the winner from the loser.

Just imagine winning a $100 bet 820 times out of 10000. Would you still take that bet?

You are all in PF against 33, I don't see anything wrong here.
