Am I an addict?

OK, not a serious drug, but I am a chocolate freak. I pretty much need chocolate every day. After reading some of these drug posts, I was wondering if I would officially be classified as addicted to chocolate. Opinions?

people can be addicted to all sorts of things. chocolate could qualify

I always wondered if there was a negative correlation between chocolate addiction and addiction to other drugs. I never really had any desire to do any other type of drug.

I took "Psychology of Addiction" during my undergrad days.

our professor was a bit of a kook, but his stance was basically what I said above - addiction has many psychological/non physical factors, so that various items can be addictive, and to different extents. certain personalities types are also more prone to "addiction" than others.

You are probably hooked on the caffeine and/or sugar.

I would guess it would be no different than being hooked on Coke or Pepsi.
