Re: River fold?
I appreciate the heads up. I try to read all the threads but it becomes hard sometimes so I do search for the word digest.
Seems like lately I could just use the digest to link everybody to W.D.'s posts. Btw, I think that if I have KQ on the button and there is 1 limper to me, I am raising virtually 100% of the time, no matter who the limper is, where he limped from, or if he posted or not. The benefits of raising preflop are way too great to pass up. |

Re: River fold?
the way you played this hand (poorly, as you said) makes your river decision much more difficult. i doubt you're ahead more than one in five times.
and i'm sure you don't need to hear that you should have raised the turn. all those flush and straight draws should be paying for the river. when a blank falls and the drawers all check/fold that won't be much fun. |

[ QUOTE ]
i doubt you're ahead more than one in five times. [/ QUOTE ] If its called behind him (and it almost always will be), he's getting 5:1 odds, so his hand only needs to be good one in six times (16.6%). If its repopped, I consider that my showdown, and turbomuck. The problem with folding here is that hero showed so little strength that the 1st player could easily be value betting 2nd pair and the second one could be value raising KJ. This kind of stuff happens all the time. |

Re: River fold?
Grunch:
Raise that turn. The flush draws won't bet the river when they miss (most of the time). Sure you'll lose the pot sometimes, but jam it while you're ahead. |
