I'm really interested in the Bears vs. Bengals next week. I'm not 100% sold on the Bengals D yet. If the Bears can score 21 I think they could win. Then it's a bye week and then these are their next 6 games:
10/09/05
at Cleveland
10/16/05
Minnesota
10/23/05
Baltimore
10/30/05
at Detroit
11/06/05
at New Orleans
11/13/05
San Francisco

I think they could win 4-5 of these games and then they still have the Packers twice.

The Bears have 2 things going for them -- they have a very good (I'm still hesitant to say "great") defense, and they play in the worst division in football. I'm very interested to see if they can carry this week over against the Bengals. At this point it's very difficult to say how good either of these teams are, but I'm not sold on either.

Don't look now, but is Orton the best QB in the NFC North?

It's the worst division in football right now, that's all I know.

There was a lot of talk earlier in this thread as to why the Vikings suck so much. Yes, losing Randy Moss is the easy answer and a lot of people want to pin the poor running game on the loss of Matt Birk. (They are averaging 3.8 Yards per carry which is close to the league average.)

Anybody want to place the blame on first year offensive coordinator Scott Loney. I haven't seen either game, but the Vikings are dead last in the league with only 29 rushing attempts so far. 5 were by Duante Culpepper. It's pretty tough to establish a running game or win when you hand the ball of about 3 times each quarter.

I'm still giving even money to anyone who wants to take Minny against the field.
