And the plan is we would just refer each other?? Not quite clear, but if it doesn't involve annoying people or downloading suspect software or anything, I'm down for a project.

I don't know a ton about these "deals", but if each person need 8 referals, and we're all signing up for each other, that means each one of has to sign up for 8 deals. Thats a heck of alot of telemarketing and spam lists. Not to mention costs of signing up for 1 year memberships etc.
Now that you have signed up for all 8 of your deals, how sure are you that everyone will sign up for you? Who is going to make it through 2, and then quit before he gets to yours? I don't want to be a buzzkill, but I really wouldn't attempt it unless I fully trusted everyone I worked with. You don't get someting for nothing.
