77 from the SB
BB in this hand is a huge LAG
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed) Preflop: Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 1 fold, Button calls, Hero raises, BB calls, Button calls. Flop: (6 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, BB raises, Button folds, Hero calls. Turn: (5 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls. River: (7 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, BB checks. Final Pot: 7 BB Main Pot: 7 BB, between Hero and BB. > Pot won by BB (7 BB). Results in white below: Hero shows 7c 7d (one pair, sevens). BB shows 6d Qh (one pair, queens). Outcom e: BB wins 7 BB. Is this raise from the SB standard? considering the BB LAGish nature, is the call down correct? or with 2 overcards and the flush draw hitting on the turn, do I go ahead and fold? |

Re: 77 from the SB
This may sound weak, but I fold to the flop raise. Sure, he could be raising a flush draw or bottom pair, but it's going to cost you 2.5 more bets to find out. Not worth it in my opinion. FWIW I would raise here preflop as well.

Re: 77 from the SB
You should usually fold to the flop raise minus image concerns. As is you absolutely cannot call on the turn against any one except a major clown.

Re: 77 from the SB
JT, any 2 hearts, any K, any Q, 22. He can beat first two and other hands if turned or rivered 7 (around 10% of time). If BB doesn't like semibluffs then it's certainly fold if not so and BB is aggro - there is no way i can fold this flop.

Re: 77 from the SB
Alobar,
First, the raise was fine. Secondly, fold on the flop. The BB likely already has you beat, but more importantly (considering all the draws out), he will be very likely to be ahead after the turn and river if he isn't already. The pot is not nearly large enough to continue after his flop raise. jujujaja34 |

Re: 77 from the SB
You have to know your opponent, and his image of you. Without being there and knowing what exactly constitutes a "huge LAG", nobody here can really tell you what the best play was.
That said, it looks like this guy will let you see a showdown cheap (checks behind on the river), so calling down wasn't so bad. Don't feel too bad about this one, and don't forget to use the information you paid for. |
