Default Quick 10/20 6-max poll

Check or bet? 1-word response is ok unless you wish to expand:

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG folds, MP folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (2 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

Turn: (2 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

River: (4 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero...?

I'm torn. I probably check and hate myself if I win or lose.

I check. If the pot were raised preflop (and I had somehow not folded my 24o), I would bet.

I checked and won against SB's T3. Yet I felt like a tool for checking and strongly considered betting. At least it's good to see checking sounds like the norm.

I figured the most likely hands were pair of fours with a better kicker (I lose), pair of threes (I win), or high card (I win) but I thought it was most likely to be the fours.

If he'll call you with King-high, bet.

My quick reasoning on the subject was first it seems pretty obvious the SB does not have an 8 or an overpair.

Second at least some players have some kind of standards for completing in the SB meaning in general the SB starting hand should be leaning towards half way decent. I translate this to meaning more likely to have big cards than 3's or 4's.

He may have a 7 but is more likely to have something else.

He may have a Q and will CR but is probably more likely to have bet his Q.

I add this up and figure I am still good. I am convinced he has Ace or King high. At least good enough to warrant a value bet.

OK I was wrong. T3 is a stupid thing to play in the SB. He was one of those guys with no standards. Well good. I am a fool for betting but he is a bigger fool. Hahahahahaha. I have your money fool. ..... sorry about that. I'll be ok now.
