Default AK with reraise

$30 Party MTT. 1st round, blinds 10/15. Button has T850, 3rd position T1000, and I have T1050. I raise to 40 in 2nd position, third position calls, button raises to 200. What should I do?

I would have raised a bit more preflop in the early stages of the tourney. But once I'm in your spot, I would probably call and check/fold if the flop missed. That might not be the right play, but youre still left with 850 and plenty of time to work with.

I'm also in the tourney, good luck.

I would push, people do this with AQ a lot during the 1st stage of a MTT on party. Also, if you push he might call with crappy high cards thinking it "must be a coinflip". Push here I vote.

I was at Table 23. I am out now.

I pushed. Villain called with QQ and I lost. Then pushed short stacked with A9o and lost to 22.

What's the consensus on the softness of the day tournaments vs the night ones?
