Re: Stolen Content Guide on 2+2
That's one of the reasons I brought it up. I believe it should be removed because of this and maybe this thread will bring this to the mods attention.

Re: Stolen Content Guide on 2+2
if you really don't like what's going down, then:
1) let 2+2 make money off the ad. and/or 2) don't support the affiliate links. the information provided isn't copyrighted and if someone thinks they can make money off of it enough to lay out a marketing investment in front and out of pocket, then go ahead and let them. I don't see a situation here where visitors are forced to financially compensate CW.com for any data listed on their site. anything beyond that is just up to BW to decide. |

Re: Stolen Content Guide on 2+2
Anything you post is yours. You can claim copyright on all of it. Though it was not necessary, MasterShakes could have claimed copyright on his post on BW and forced 2+2 to remove the stolen information.

Re: Stolen Content Guide on 2+2
Claimed copyright... lol, this is too much. It's information about a website for christ sakes... not top secret government files on how to create nuclear warheads. Me thinks the hardcore bonus whores not too happy about info being easily accessible and now advertised legitly.
Yes, it is slightly out of date. I haven't had a chance to fix it in the last week or two (I've been traveling a crapload). Anyways, I feel motivated to fix it all right now, so thanks for the motivation. It's one thing to criticize the site for being out of date or inaccurate if you believe this is the case (it is for some of the more sensitive bonuses, though I am going to change that now). It's another to accuse someone of plagarism when this is obviously not the case. I'd welcome a suit if MasterShakes would like to file one; I need a good laugh. If not, stop making comments and posts like this one. |

Anything you post is yours. You can claim copyright on all of it. [/ QUOTE ] True, but not complete. Certain things are not copyrightable, certain things are considered public knowledge, certain exceptions exist for free use. In this case, you can't honestly tell me (if you have any knowledge of copyright law) that this is something that I'm going to get an intellectual property suit over? He found the website. I posted the websites on casinowhoring.com; it's like saying if I found some sites on google and posted links here I am guilty of copyright infringement... |

Re: Stolen Content Guide on 2+2
Yes?
The info I put on my website isn't lifted directly or in spirit from MasterShakes post. It's pretty common knowledge how to avoid getting banned right away using the method outlined (used in sticky's all the time). He did provide the links, however, not that this is anything which deserves credit. |

Re: Stolen Content Guide on 2+2
An article I wrote for a website once was lifted and printed under someone elses name in a Philadelphia newspaper. Since it top-secret gov't stuff, this is ok in your book?

[/ QUOTE ] Researching information is not plagarism. I'm not trying to take sides here, just pointing out the obvious. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |
