Default Zee Justin\'s Latest Blog Entry

"Our table was full of regulars at the Vic (Note that there are far more degenerate gamblers at the Vic who spend all of their free time at a casino, but still aren’t good enough to find an edge in any game) much harder to read. Internet amateurs, for example, are fairly easy to read as there is generally a logical reason for any of their plays, and they give off tells. With some of the locals, they couldn’t tell you the difference between a value bet and a bluff , and that made it much harder to figure out what they were thinking . They basically weren’t thinking players. Coupled with the fact that they spend 87 hours per week in the card room, they weren’t emitting much information.

Here

Its their badness that makes them so good.

Good to see you posting in this forum, Kane. I thought you were purely a cash game player.

Not quite as funny as "the good thing about making this play with a hand like A5o is that when you are called, you will still always have at least 3 outs", but close.

I think these comments stem mostly from his lack of experience live. In the next paragraph, he talks about how he was impressed with what he thought was an average online player, and admitted that he still lacks the ability to get good reads live.

I think he totally disses Ed Moncada without even knowing it.

"I had played with Ed a lot online, and he has never seemed like the best player. He’s a solid winning mid stakes player I guess, but nothing better than that"

both of these posts have lowered my respect for zj. i just really hope this is all a huge joke...he sounds like a 2/4 player saying "YOU CAN'T WIN AGAINST THESE HORRIBLE PLAYERS!!! I'M GOING TO 30/60 WHERE THEY PLAY BETTER!"

It's pretty clear that you didn't read Zee's entry.

All of the stuff in here is taken out of context. He's not saying that they're better players, he's saying that it is harder to figure out what they're thinking, because they don't have a coherent thought process. Thus, it's hard for him to make reads. Then, the NEXT SENTENCE:

[ QUOTE ]

Despite this, Ed was making a ton of amazing reads with minimal information.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh. So you mean he wasn't saying that it's harder to beat bad players?

As for the ebolivia comments, it's true that he says this:

[ QUOTE ]
To be honest, I had played with Ed a lot online, and he has never seemed like the best player. He’s a solid winning mid stakes player I guess, but nothing better than that.

[/ QUOTE ]

And again, one sentence later:

[ QUOTE ]

When I played with him at the Vic, he played like a world class player.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow. Look at how little respect Zee has for him.

I love it when people take things out of context to try to make others look bad.
