Bet the turn, check the river, and delete the word "Texas" from the beginning of the HH before converting.

Re: would you value bet this river?
I'd probably need more specifics but it looks to me like a clear bet.

Re: would you value bet this river?
Because his most likely hand is a flush or straight draw and you want to charge him to draw to it. I bet at least 2/3 pot on turn. Against this guy, though, I probably bet full pot. In my experience, people who weak lead flop and then flat call raises also call large turn bets.

Re: would you value bet this river?
so I was totally off thinking someone might have caught a set with that flop in a 4 handed game?

Re: would you value bet this river?
if people weak lead the flop it is almost always a draw. if it is a set they will usually 3-bet or lead again on the flop. calling the flop raise and then checking the turn is almost always a draw on these very draw heavy boards.

Re: would you value bet this river?
That makes sense. I guess I just thought my raise should have priced out his draw. That was why I thought a set.
It turned out he had A 10 and MHIG. I thought about it after the hand and I thought the opposite of you. I thought check the turn and bet the river. Would that be that bad? |

[/ QUOTE ] checking the turn and betting the river pretty much achieves the same thing against something like AT but allows a free card if he is on draw and AT still has 5 outs against you. if you think that its unlikely for him to have draw here and that he is more willing to call a river bet than a turn bet, then you might check behind but in general I like betting the turn. |
