Can we please have a thread where only people who have actually eaten lunch with DERB can guess what he will eat on Friday?

[/ QUOTE ]

Crap, I don't know anything about lunch either.

John Derbyshire, he writes for NationalReviewOnline, as well as the print version. He's some British dude, digs math puzzles, writes some pretty good stuff.

Last time I had lunch w/ DERB, DERB had some krompir s skuto and a glass of peneci teran to start, kislo zelje s klobaso with a couple of struklji and some Laski wine, and potica for dessert. DERB said we would have pecen prasicek next time; I'm looking forward to it.

You guys have it all wrong. You are focused on what DERB is having for lunch because of what you believe to be poor noontime food decisions. What you don't understand is that meta-food moves he makes at lunch are setting up his dinner plans.

He has discovered a whole new way of eating that allows him to consume more food than your narrow breakfast/lunch/dinner worldview can see.

This is POTD and it is not close.

Seriously though, how did a clear OOT thread make it this far here? Not that I am complaining because this thread is hysterical.

Badly placed, but extremely insightful, accurate, and succinct post.
