Default 25-50 NL-- Standard fold?

25-50 NL. This seemed like a very obvious fold to me but a friend thought it was close.

Effective stack sizes are $6K. 6 handed. Games is weirdly passive preflop at the moment.

Preflop

Dufus minraises to $100 in EP, which means nothing. I call in the CO with 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Very strong player on the Button calls. BB (a regular high-limit player on various sites -- seems OK) calls as well.

Flop is good for me.

Dufus checks. I bet $400. Button calls. BB pushes. I auto-muck. Easy, right?

I think this is ~ even EV (probably slightly +EV if you knew button was folding). If your properly bankrolled; i think you actually make a little w/ a call here; + its good for shania. Who was BB? this changes it significantly.

Good to know. I haven't played with him much and hadn't seen him do anything particularly noteworthy.

Vs bedeveling I call because I run well vs him and I'd surely win this pot. His range is likely a strong K, flush draw, or a set, and as durr said I'm pretty sure this situation is pretty close to EV neutral. And when I think this, especially in the UB game, I'm often surprised/happy to occasionally see some complete air on this board so maybe its +EV slightly. I call.

HU, I call, but this was a classic 3-way squeeze play, which made it tough.

It's a good thing he doesn't have a 2+2 account or he'd know we're talking about him.

The ol' devil is capable of pushing here with draws, but that doesn't make it any less of a fold.
