Harrington on Holdem Vol 1 Question
I've been reading Harrington on Holdem Volume 1 and been trying to apply it to my small stakes 25NL cash game.
Harrington suggests as a generic play to start raising 3-5 times the BB with pairs as low as 66 in late mid position (88 in early mid position!). With regards to small stakes holdem NL cash games, particularly NL 25$, is this insane or what? |

Re: Harrington on Holdem Vol 1 Question
Tourney play= much different than cash game play. Unless it is 6-max, I usually limp with most pairs. And 3xBB will get you nowhere...I usually raise 4xBB at least.

Re: Harrington on Holdem Vol 1 Question
Drop $200 in my party account and I'll explain this concept that CAN be applied to cash games. Tourney strategy is much different than cash games, but you can raise small pairs if table conditions permit and/or you can get it HU's.
EX: one limper in front of you an you're in CO with 55. Raise to isolate and get position on limper instead of hoping that you get more limpers to come along and you flop a set. |
