Overcalling with a 4-flush on board
SB is 34% / 8% / 2.32 after 270 hands
MP1 is unknown PokerRoom 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img],T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] . 2 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 raises, 3 folds, SB 3-bets, Hero calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls. Flop: (9 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) SB bets, Hero raises, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, SB calls. Turn: (7.50 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, Hero checks, MP1 bets, SB calls, Hero calls. River: (9.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, Hero checks, MP1 bets, SB calls, Hero ??? Final Pot: 11.50 or 12.50 BB I figure the turn call has odds to fill up. If I'm last to act heads up at the end I'll call in hopes that it's a bluff. Is anyone overcalling 11.5:1 with what's probably the best non-flush hand? Or is this a losing proposition in the long run? |

Re: Overcalling with a 4-flush on board
After it MP1 bets on the turn, is called in two spots, bets the river and is called by SB, you're not good even 5% of the time.

Re: Overcalling with a 4-flush on board
That was my initial impression, but I wasn't entirely sure what my odds were (better or worse than 12:1). Just making sure there's no hole here, thanks.

Re: Overcalling with a 4-flush on board
I think you can call this down heads-up, but if you're overcalling you're pretty much done for. Fold it.
