haha, holy balls. have you ever seen SB bet?

and unless I'd seen SB pull something like this before, I bet the flop and turn, and check the river.

You should have bet that flop. If one of them is eliminated on the flop, then bet the turn. Other wise I hope for a free card.

Not betting that flop is a big leak.

You have to bet that flop. What you do on the turn depends on your reads and they're reaction to the flop bet.

ok if it's a mistake I don't see how it's a **big** one it's not like I'm losing a lot of $$$ here.. you might be confusing the fact that you think it is routine with you thinking it is important.

i'm in pretty bad shape in this hand almost all the time

what are we hoping to accomplish with a flop bet?

i know I didn't include reads but it's sort of obvious by their action no??

You are betting 1SB to win 7SB. You win this pot uncontested probably 1 in 5 times. Saying you muck your hand as soon as someone calls, you've already made 2/7SB without cards. Consider the fact that you improve your chances to see the river for free, and this is an extremely profitable play.

If you don't think this is a big mistake especially at 2/4, then you have a lot of room for improvement.

winning 1/5 uncontested is not probable, MP has overs, pair, flush draw, straight or gutshot draw pretty much all the time and he's calling with all of those .. sb is not folding for 1 with this many pots after calling a raise often enough either. dont think we have a huge amount of fold equity here.

dude I'm not saying it's not wrong i'm saying it's not THAT wrong. my hand is so marginal here there is not much EV difference either way. as far as total $$$ is concerned you understand?

and your condescending tone is just bizzaro world dude what is up with that??

i just thought it was funny this guy checked down an overpair and thought I'd share and you get all alpha dog, it's all good bro!

To say nothing of the fact that you will be in situations like this all the time. Remember, the magnitude of a leak is frequency + size of the mistake. This is a decent-sized mistake that you get the chance to make a lot.
