Good fold. You don't want to be drawing for half the pot heads-up, and there's an excellent chance that he's ahead for low anyway.

I can't think of a situation in stud-8 where I LIKE having an 8,7 draw against someone else's A6 showing. Fold.

I thought of one: I have 8765 and the guy with A6 will limp in with any three cards on third street. I have played $30/60 with people who played like this. For some reason, the game doesn't go anymore.

This is one of the danger hands in hi/lo -- a rough 8 with no straight. The 5678 would be a raise for me here.

5678 is about the only time I would keep going in such a situation. Obviously there's going to be an exception if your opponents are complete idiots and will play any three cards.
