Default Re: How aggressive is too aggressive?

[ QUOTE ]
MP1 is a rock--good PF hand selection.

[/ QUOTE ]

This sentence doesn't make sense. If MP1 is a rock, his PF selection is far too tight. If he has good PF selection, he's not a rock.

[ QUOTE ]
The flop bet was mainly for info on MP1. I was hoping to force a fold with the turn bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

If this was the plan, you should check-raise the flop. He's far more likely to fold to a flop check-raise followed by a turn bet than he is a flop donk and turn bet. You would also like to drive out the guy in the middle.

[ QUOTE ]
I'm pretty sure I'm the best hand. What now? Bet or check? Take the showdown for free or charge one more bet and expose myself to a raise?

[/ QUOTE ]

First, you're OOP, so you're not going to take a free showdown; a free showdown might be given to you. Second, do you still think you have the best hand if he raises? If he's a rock, do you really think he will raise with anything that doesn't beat you?
