New 300 NL at Foxwoods - any experience?
Looking for advice/to hear advice with the new 2/4 NL game. Do they spread a lot of tables so you can pick a juicy table?
Lots of 1/2 NL bigshots move up to play it or did some of the solid 5/5 players move down? How fishy is it. Lemme know Blackjack |

Re: New 300 NL at Foxwoods - any experience?
I've been twice since they started the game, both times I've been playing 1/2 and the tables were too good to leave. I've heard a lot of players talking and saying that they were pretty similar to the 1/2 tables. At times I'm sure they can be tighter as some of the 5/5 players play this game. But overall it seemed like they were closer to 1/2 than 5/5.
Both times I was there they were only spreading 1 or 2 tables. I play on weeknights so they may spread more on the weekend. Friday afternoon it took awhile for the interested list to fill up enough for them to open the table. Hope this helps. Dave |

Re: New 300 NL at Foxwoods - any experience?
I'll check in with a too-small sample size. I sat in the 2/4 NL a couple times this week. I found it to be considerably less fishy than the 1/2 NL. Witnessed several correct laydowns of top pair and stuff, things I never witnessed in the 1/2 Even the bad players were not jaw-droppingly bad like in the 1/2, just kinda bad.
Time charge is $6/half hour. The game is 2/4 blinds played with red chips, so be prepared to spend a lot of time just watching the dealer make change *sigh* |

Foxwoods could of done everyone* a favor and just raised the max buy in at the 1-2 NL to 300. * = decent players or better....

A few yellows at the buy-in would seem to be the key to speeding up an already slow (NL + Foxwoods's leaden dealers) game. |
