Default 3 ugly hands (2 of 3)

10-20. 4 limpers, 3 of them horrible, to me in the SB with 5s3h. I risk the wrath of all the 2+2 gods and complete, BB checks. 6 to the flop for 3BBs.

Flop: Kh Qh 5h. I check, BB checks, EP bets. EP has seen every flop and is willing to bet many many many holdings here. Folded to me, I call, BB folds. 2 to the turn for 4BBs.

Turn: 9c. I check, EP bets, I call.

River: 3s. I check, EP bets, I, uhhh, call.

I like the preflop fine but I'm a loose fish.

Why not checkraise the flop if you've decided to play on?

Clark:

Yuck! If you are going to stay to the river, and catch your dream card on the river, you gotta check-raise. There is no way he could ever in 1 million years think you have a hand that a 3 helps. Raise! If no raise, check-fold the flop. If you aren't willing to put two buts in on the river here then you shouldnt have put in the 1.5 bets that you did to get here, since you did have the proper odds to call the turn if you believed you were behind(unless you make up for it in implied odds!).

"Why not checkraise the flop if you've decided to play on?"

I figure BB is pretty unlikely to call and if that's true, then I figure there's no reason to shower the felt with chips while out of position. Why not just play it like a way ahead/behind situation and quietly just ensure that it goes to showdown?

Because you can't actually be "way ahead"?

I actually don't mind the way you played this hand, except you should get more going on the river as has been pointed out.

I read your response to Vehn, but I'd still checkraise the flop.

And not checkraising the river is definitely ugly.

Looks like you could be way ahead.

How many hands do you beat that he calls a check-raise with, and how many hands do you lose to that he folds to a check raise with?

I believe the play would have been to bet out on the river.
