Default Slightly nervous, need some encouragement.

I am going to Atlantic City today and plan to try out 10/20 for the first time. I have consistantly beat the 5/10 for several months and consider it very soft. I have observed several 10/20 games and seen that they are almost as soft. I have been gearing up for this for a while, but today I am a little nervous. Bankroll isn't an issue, but $500 still can be high.

Basically I just need to take out the tampon and play. If the game is good and I am rolled for it, then there should be no issue. I think I am just a little gun shy.

Thanks

I'd buy in for a dime if I were you. I like it better when I have a mountain of chips from the get-go.

Also, I'm sure it's soft as hell. Live poker amazes me.

Wow, I haven't played live for so long...I am really in the mood to make a casino trip now.

You will be fine. Pokar is easy. Make sure you don't play like a total vag and you will be fine.

I agree with SomethingClever regarding buying in for an extra amount for psychological purposes

That is a thought, I never considered walking over to the table with two racks of red chips.

The 5/10 game I played in featured 7 players to a flop. The concept of " if he is raising then he must have high cards, so I will call with my low cards to get a bettter chance at the flop thinking is very frequent"

I don't know what you think of this, but I am thinking about a 20 bb stop loss. if I drop 400, I may drop down to build back up. This is more for tilt purposes then anything else.

Also I plan to PWN a $20 rebuy tourney the next day, it is uber soft
