Default Getting short, flop top pair - crappy kicker... good time to push?

I was debating on either folding or making a move and pushing PF however I didn't know what to make of the button call (I assumed it meant a weakish hand) and I thought that I might be able to push a raggy flop if checked to me and still have enough chips to be a factor. Instead, I flopped top pair with a crappy kicker and I was bet into by the chip leader.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (4 handed) converter

Button (t6455)
SB (t4215)
Hero (t1250)
UTG (t1580)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, Button calls t150, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (t450) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets t450, Hero raises to t1100...

Given my chip stack and villains range was this a smart play? This was a $30+3.

I like it. You're low man on the ladder and you need chips, and top pair is a good hand!

I agree with jeff. I think SB is trying to push you out. A call is no option. and I think top pair is too nice to drop here. So, push and close your eyes

I think it's okay, but you're not THAT short.. I mean you still have what, 7bb here? It would depend on at least some sorta read on SB for me, but the move in seems fairly standard really.
