If I have somewhere else I need to be then I would definitely put him on A9 of clubs and push, if Im trying to win I might fold it.

I agree with limping here also, its early and your out of position, no reason to build a big pot, would even fold it if it werent suited, not that that adds a whole lot of value but just enough. Raising isnt bad though, just puts you in a tougher spot postflop unless you nail your hand (not just hitting an ace).

Why on earth would you want to call?

Perhaps if I was drunk and stoned and this were a rebuy
event I might call.
